FAST 2025 Q3 W2 at Huntington Hills

"Thrilling Showdown at Cypress Creek: JD's Dramatic Victory Marks a New Era in FAST Q3/W2!"

FAST Q3/W2 turned out to be another nail-biter of a round at Cypress Creek. The course was in good shape, but the greens were unusually slow and the back nine was punched, which made putting a little more difficult. The pace of play was also slow, but that did not stop the intense competition between 18 semi-Pro hackers that showed up to get their hands on the FAST Belt for week 2. Before the round, JD told me that although Cypress was not his favorite course, he was coming for the Belt. Several players jumped out to a very fast start, and after hole four, DaJoker was a -3, followed closely by JD, RocketMan, Mr. Hybrid, and ScoringEagle, all at -1. Mr. Hybrid made a move and jumped into first place at hole 6, with the Joker and JD close behind. At the Turn, DaJoker was up by one stroke over Mr. Hybrid, and JD was 3 strokes back. At 13, DaJoker and Mr. Hybrid were all tied at -3, and SongBird jumped into the mix at -2, with the Commish and JD all tied up at -1. The Commish birdied holes 11 and 13 to make things even more interesting, which resulted in a 3-way tie between DaJoker and SongBird going into 15, with JD 1 stroke back. Going into 16, the Commish jumped into the solo lead, with JD and SongBird one stroke back. Going into 18, the Commish hit a good drive left side of the fairway behind the big oak tree, leaving him 200 yards out. He decided to go for the green with his three wood and hit it well but drew it left into the water, took a stroke, and ended with a bogey, finishing in the Clubhouse at -2. JD knew he had to birdie 18 to beat the Commish. JD hit a beautiful drive down the middle, leaving him 185 yards to the green. He did not come out to lay up and decided to attack the flag. He hit a beautiful 2nd shot and hit the flag for an almost eagle but had a tap-in birdie for his first-ever FAST win in dramatic fashion. He predicted the win before the round and played his ass off on 18 to win in a spectacular finish. Final finishing positions are as follows:

1. JD -3

2. Commish -2

3. BudLiteBob & SongBird +1

4. GBT2 & TDog +2

5. 5th Beast +3

CTPs were Commish, SongBird, Bonez, and ScoringEagle.

Birds that held went to JD, Dr. D, Dr. D, and SongBird.

Overall, it was another fantastic and exciting day on the links with intense competition and spectacular golf. Dr. D also set a new FAST record, scoring 17 solo skins in one round with his birds on #9 and #14. We are all super excited to see JD on the Q3/W2 Championship Wall after being a bridesmaid at least 6 times. It goes to show that positive thoughts, a lot of determination, and brass balls can pay off if you stick with it and just go for the win. JD will be going for his first Quarter win as he continues to be on top of the leaderboard. Will he be able to pull it off this quarter? Next week is our FAST CLOSED Major - Double the POT and Double the Points at Huntington Hills at 11:00 am for another super exciting round.

FAST Q3 W1 Team Game at Summerfield (Team Commish does it again!!)

And they Said Kerry could NOT WIN and he said in return- "Give me a Jello Shot and Hold my Beer"

Q3 Week One random draw Team Play at Summerfield turned out to be a beautiful day on the links. Summerfield was in good shape and the greens were lightning fast, which made the competition very intense. We had 18 semi-pro hackers in the lineup. The random draw was held at 9:20 am, and there were strong teams and some underdog teams on paper. Team PuffPuff started strong with a score of even after 4 holes, and team Weekly, Davies, and GetDemDots were hot on their trail. After 5 holes, Team PuffPuff maintained their lead with Team Commish and Davies hot on their trail. At hole 8, Team Davies, PuffPuff, and Team Weekly were all tied up at +3. At the turn, it was Team Davies and Team Cheesehead all tied up at +1, with Team Weekly one stroke behind. After 12, Team Cheesehead took a one-stroke lead, and Team Weekly and Davies were tied for 2nd place. At hole 13, Team Weekly took the lead with Team Davies, Cheesehead, and Team Commish all tied for 2nd place. Team Commish birdied 14 and jumped into the lead on 15. On 16, Team Davies jumped back into the lead by 1 stroke over Team Commish. Team Commish needed to par out on 18 to capture the win, and both the Commish and Kerry pulled out pars on 18 to take the win from Team Davies and BoomBoom by 2 strokes. Final scores are as follows:
1st Place - Commish/Kerry (E) $20
2nd Place - BoomBoom/Scoring Eagle, JD/Stormin (+2)
3rd Place - BLB/Little Sexy, Cheese/MrHybrid (+4)
4th Place - RocketMan/TDog (+6)
5th Place - Krash/TDaddy (+12)

CTPs went to Krash, Big Sexy, Little Sexy, and Herbie ($15)

Birdies that held on went to Commish, Herbie, RocketMan, and Scoring Eagle.

In conclusion, this week’s showdown at Summerfield brought out the best in our players, highlighting not just the competitive spirit, but also the camaraderie that makes these events unforgettable. Kerry's impressive performance, especially after his legendary Jello Shot moment, is a testament to the unpredictable nature of our game. As we gear up for next week at Cypress Creek, the excitement is palpable, and I can’t wait to see who will bring their A Game. Here’s to more thrilling rounds ahead—let’s keep that momentum going!

FAST 2025 Q2 Finale - TPC Tampa

Calise Hangs on to Win Q2 2025 Week 13 at Tampa TPC in a close game

Playing at Tampa TPC proved to be an exceptional experience, surpassing our expectations. Special thanks to DaProfessor for organizing a memorable round at TPC. We had 16 semi-professional golfers participating, all bringing their best to the Saturday event. From the start, Calise and DaCommish took an early lead at -2 after 5 holes, with Cheese and Rocketman close behind at -1.

At the halfway point, Calise and DaCommish remained tied at -2, while Cheese continued to pursue at -1, and Chu and TL positioned themselves at even par. Following hole 10, DaCommish struggled, allowing Calise to take a significant lead at -3. By hole 12, DaCommish managed to level the score at even, as Calise encountered difficulties with Chu, Mike, and TL trailing by one stroke. Calise regained the lead after hole 14, closely followed by DaCommish, Mike, Chu, and KingRozzi.

The lead fluctuated until hole 18, where DaCommish and Chu faltered, enabling Calise and Mike to ascend to the top of the leaderboard, with Calise securing victory for the first time since June 8, 2024, at Eaglebrook. Congratulations to Calise for an outstanding win. Final placements are as follows:

1st Place: Calise (72) - $25

2nd Place: Mike (72)

3rd Place: DaCommish (73)

4th Place: Bonez (74)

5th Place: KingRozzi

Closest to the Pin awards went to Calise (twice), Don Julio, and BoomBoom, each earning $15. The only birdie that held up was awarded to KingRozzi, who received $75.

The outing at Tampa TPC also marked the conclusion of Quarter 2, 2025. DaCommish emerged as the quarter's leader with 321 points and will join the FAST Best of the Best, his name etched among the quarter champions. The quarter placements are as follows:

1. DaCommish - 231 points

2. Cheese - 273 points

3. TL - 201 points

4. SongBird - 181 points

5. BoomBoom - 179 points

This quarter was notably eventful, featuring two eagles achieved by Cheese and Bonez. TL also excelled with seven Closest to the Pin awards, tying the record held by DaBeast. Additionally, DaCommish, Cheese, and Herbie each secured victories twice this quarter. It has been an exciting quarter filled with highlights. Next week marks the beginning of Quarter 3, 2025, starting with a randomly drawn team game at Summerfield at 10 AM.

FAST Heritage Harbor (Rain forced round away from Southern Dunes)

“RocketMan Blasts to Victory with a Stunning 38 on the Back 9 in First FAST Win!"

Q2/W9 was nothing short of a rollercoaster ride! We had originally planned to tee off at Southern Dunes bright and early at 10 am; however, the weather had other plans, forcing us to cancel. But thanks to ScoringEagle's enthusiasm for a game, we quickly discovered that everyone was still up for a round. We swiftly made our way to Heritage Harbor in Lutz, rallying a solid group of 15 semi-pro hackers ready to hit the course.
Although the layout of the course was impressive, it was evident that it was not in peak condition, the fairways were a bit rough, and the greens could certainly use some love. Yet, these obstacles only fueled the fierce competition among the 15 FAST players. Birdies began to flow on holes #1 and #2, with RocketMan, Dr. LastMinute, and the Commish bursting out of the gate with hot starts. After six holes, BuffaloSolja, RocketMan, and the Commish found themselves tied at -2, with BudLiteBob lurking closely at -1. By hole seven, TL, Dr. LastMinute, and Mr. Hybrid pulled ahead, leading at -2 as the Commish and RocketMan slipped to -1.
After the 12th hole, BuffaloSolja took a commanding lead, with a five-way tie hot on his heels. By hole 14, he maintained his edge at -3, with the Commish and Mr. Hybrid trailing at -2, and RocketMan among five others tied at Even. The excitement reached its peak at hole 17 as RocketMan made his move, scoring an impressive Par, Birdie, Par to finish with a stellar 38 on the back nine—his best nine holes ever—securing the WIN by just one stroke over BuffaloSolja. Truly remarkable performance from RocketMan today.
Here are the final standings:
1st Place - RocketMan -3
2nd Place - BuffaloSolja -2
3rd Place - GBT2 -1
4th Place - Commish & Dr. LastMinute +1
5th Place - Mr. Hybrid
CTPs were awarded to ScoringEagle, TL, Bonez, and LamboNinja, and the Bird Skins went to: Bonez (Eagle on #10), RocketMan (#17), Commish (#2), Dr. LastMinute ($7), Cheese (#12).
All in all, it turned out to be an incredible day on the green, despite the last-minute change of plans. The competition was fierce, and RocketMan displayed exceptional strategy and precision with his iron shots on the back nine. TL pushed hard against the competition along with GBT2, but they came just short of catching RocketMan. BuffaloSolja has been playing some fantastic golf consistently in the running week after week. It’s been an intense couple of weeks on the course, but I was overjoyed to see RocketMan claim the Belt for the first time—a well-deserved victory, and it’s exciting to witness a fresh face on the Champions Wall. Can’t wait to see you all next weekend for our inaugural Ryder Cup at Orange County National and Mystic Dooms (little shoutout to Little Sexy for that fun name, lol)!

FAST Summerfield (Not even an Ace can stop Herbie!)

Herbie Seizes Victory with His Good Luck Charm “Pops” at Summerfield

What a thrilling FAST Q2/W8 at Summerfield Crossing! This event proved to be one of the most memorable rounds of the quarter, featuring a packed field of 20 Semi-Pro Hackers who truly brought their A-Game. Although the greens were less than ideal, having been punched less than a week prior, they still held their own.

Team Blue made an explosive start when GBT2 teed off, enthusiastically declaring his ball was “on the fringe” of the green. It was clear that Team Blue meant business! Herbie from Team Red quickly responded, nailing birdies on both hole #1 and hole #3, loud and clear that Team Red was ready to compete.

As the holes unfolded, Herbie found himself in a fierce battle with the Commish, Cheese, Big Sexy, BuffaloSolja, and Krash hot on his heels. Just four holes in, RocketMan surged forward, joining the front-runners on the leaderboard. By hole #5, it was a heated contest with Herbie, RocketMan, and eight players all tied for third place! At the six-hole mark, the leaderboard featured Herbie, RocketMan, Cheese, and Krash—the top four jockeying for position.

After reaching hole #10, Herbie found himself, along with Cheese and RocketMan, tied for the top spot. The excitement skyrocketed at hole #12 when Bonez made history with his first-ever Hole-In-One, scoring him the Main POT of $100. Welcome to the Hole-In-One Club, Bonez!

As play continued through hole #15, things got competitive among Herbie, BuffaloSolja, Cheese (a constant contender), and Krash. Herbie and CJ emerged neck-and-neck at -8 through hole #16, but a par followed by back-to-back doubles on holes 16, 17, and 18 saw Herbie’s lead diminish to -7. Meanwhile, CJ also stumbled with double-bogey and bogey, allowing Krash to catch up and tie for second.

Here’s how everyone finished:

1st - Herbie - (-7 - 64)

2nd - BuffaloSolja and Krash - (-5 - 66)

3rd - Cheese - (-5 - 66)

4th - TL - (-4 - 69)

5th - RocketMan - Even (71)

The coveted Hole-In-One went to Bonez at #12, marking a significant milestone in his golfing journey. Birdies were claimed by:

Herbie on #1 & #3, CJ on #5 & #10, Cheese on #6, TL on #7, Bonez on #3, #8, #10 & #12 (HIO), Hasslelink on #8, Teeach on #5, BoomBoom on #13, and Stormin on #10.

Q2/W8 delivered an exhilarating round of golf right to the finish. Despite the bumpy greens, competitors racked up numerous birdies, and even an eagle made an appearance. Once again, the finale came down to the challenging stretch of holes 14, 15, 16, and 17, and it was Herbie (a.k.a. Hybrid) who clinched the win while his proud dad cheered him on. Another fantastic day on the golf course, complete with plenty of Jello shots thanks to Cheese and Bethany. See you all next week at Southern Dunes (as Heritage Isles hosts a tournament).

FAST Calusa (BigSexy fires a back nine 37 for the title)

“Big Sexy shoots a record 37 on the Back at Calusa Country Club to Take inaugural Win”

The thrill of competition and the camaraderie among players set the stage for an unforgettable day at the newly opened Calusa Country Club in Lakewood Ranch. With only a couple of months under its belt, the course has already begun to impress golfers with its well-kept fairways and challenging greens. This inaugural outing saw a mix of seasoned and semi-pro players ready to take on the course’s unique challenges. The anticipation was palpable as everyone gathered to see who would rise to the occasion and conquer the course’s demanding layout. After a day filled with excitement, strategy, and impressive shots, the results would reveal not just the winners but also the memorable moments that made this event one for the books. Free range balls was a nice touch for this course.

We had 13 Semi-Pro hackers for this inaugural event at Calusa Country Club.
Although the greens were difficult to hold, both Bonze and Big Sexy figures out the greens mid play and were able to shoot excellent rounds of 78 and 79 respectively. Bonez was also going for a Bird record but came up a little short with 4 birds on the round. As usual, Cheese led the front 9 with the Commish, DaJoker Bonez and RocketMan in hot pursuit. After the turn, Cheese started to leak a little oil and after 11, it was Cheese, Commish and RocketMan all tied up for first place. After 15 there was a big movement at the top of the leaderboard and DaJoker and BigSexy made their move to have a three-way tie with the Commish at -4 with three holes to go. BigSexy hit his 2nd shot on 18, 4 inches from the flag for a tap in Bird and the Win. BigSexy was able to figure out early that you could not land on the green with your second shot and hold the green which was the key to his victory. Final results are as follows:
1. Big Sexy -6 (66)
2. Commish -4 (68)
3. Bonez, DaJoker, RocketMan -2 (70)
4. SilkySmooth E -(72)
5. LamboNinJa, SongBird, Cheese +1 (73)

CTPs went to LittleSexy, Lambo, Mike P, BigSexy
Bird Skins went to -Bonez #2, #7, #13- BigSexy #12, #18, Mike P. #15 and SongBird #9

In the end, it was BigSexy’s strategic insight that turned the tide, securing a memorable victory. The competition was fierce, and each player showed impressive skills and resilience throughout the rounds. As the dust settles, the camaraderie and excitement of the game remains, promising even more thrilling matches to come. With each swing, the stage is set for the next showdown, where anything can happen on the greens. Next week we will be back at Summerfield on Saturday at 9:45. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

FAST Cypress (Return of the Commissioner)

Commish Breaks (1 Year 3 Week) Drought with a Win at Cypress Creek in Q2/W6 FAST Q2/W6 at Cypress Creek had a slightly earlier start at

9:30 am, and many of the FAST field (18 strong) did not get there early enough to get a good warm-up. The greens at Cypress were less than impressive, slow and bumpy for the most part.

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome our new Mike who was invited at the last minute by ScoringEagle and was able to show up in 10 minutes because he lives on hole #16. Welcome to the group, new Mike. I would also like to pass on our condolences to BLB, who lost his dad this week and was still able to muster the energy to come out and play today. Sorry for your loss, BudLiteBob.

Commish's journey to this victory has been marked by relentless perseverance, dedication, and an unwavering belief that he would be back on top one day. The past year has seen Commish face numerous challenges, both with the short game and putter. Today, the Commish unveiled a new putter and sank 3

birds (1 zero putt), which was the primary reason for the victory. The field was tight after the first 3 holes. The Commish jumped to the top of the leaderboard after a birdie on #3 and #6, then started to leak oil on #7 with a snowman. This allowed TL, BoomBoom, and LittleSexy to make their moves. After 11, there was another three-way tie for first place:

LittleSexy, BoomBoom, and the Commish at -3. On 13, the Commish dropped another zero downhill putt to regain the lead and never looked back. Final placements are as follows:

1. Commish -5 - $25

2. TL & LittleSexy -1 - $10 + $5

3. New Mike +1

4. GBT2, RocketMan, BoomBoom +2

5. ScoringEagle +3

CTPs

Commish #6

LittleSexy #8

TL #14

Beast #17

Skins went to #3 Commish, #9 Rocketman, #10 Cheese, #11 Beast, and #13 Commish.

- Overall, it was another great day on the links. We were racing the rain, but fortunately for the group, no one got wet. As we get close to the

Calise Ryder Cup 2-day tournament, the Commish is now on top of the leaderboard, he will now be the captain of the Blue Team, and Calise will be the captain of the Red Team. The drawing will take place on Monday at 6 pm via Teams. A Teams invitation will be sent out to all players that have signed up for the Ryder Cup (if I have your email). Next week, we will be at Calusa Golf Club in Lakewood Ranch @ 10:54 for $69.00. This should be a treat since most of us have never played this course before. Thanks for the recommendation, TL.

FAST Huntington Hills (MrHybrid sets the pace with his best round ever)

*MrHybrid shoots personal record to Win the Q2/W5 2025 FAST Tournament at Huntington Hills*
Q2/Week 5 2025 at Huntington Hills proved to be another exciting and eventful FAST tournament with a full field of 16 Semi-Pro hackers. It was also good to welcome Gabe aka AquaMan back to the group, who is now eligible since he has played 3 rounds with the group.
It was a perfect day to be on the links, and the course was in good shape. However, the greens were underwhelmingly slow even though they looked great from a distance. Chu jumped out of the box hot with a birdie on hole #1. Through 7 holes we had 6-way tie at +1 (AquaMan, DaJoker, SongBird, ScoringEagle and Stormin, and TL) and a 3-way tie for 2nd at +2 (BudLiteBob, MrHybrid and DaBeast). At the turn TL took the solo lead at even-par with DaJoker, ScoringEagle and DaBeast in hot pursuit. After 12 MrHybrid made his move and took a one stroke lead over DaJoker and never looked back. On the back nine no one was going to keep up with MrHybrid as he shot 1 over par (37) to run away with the win at -5 NET, his best round ever.

Results were as follows:
1) MrHybrid -5 (67)
2) SongBird -1 (71)
3) Cheese and ScoringEagle E (72)
4) AquaMan +1 (73)
5) Commish and DaBeast +2 (74)

CTPs:

DaBeast #4

TL #6

ScoringEagle #11

Stormin #14

Birdies: – AquaMan #13 & 18, SongBird #13 & #17, Cheese #7, and Beast #18
Skins that held were: Chu #1, Beast #2, Beast #8, and AquaMan #15. Besides the slow greens, we all had an amazing time of fellowship and excellent bantering back and forth. Looking forward to another amazing round next weekend at Cypress Creek.

FAST Fox Swallow (The Cheese Strikes Again)

Cheese Goes Back-to-Back at Fox (Swallow) Hollow

FAST had one of its first outings at Fox (Swallow) Hollow in quite some time. Known for its picturesque and challenging track, Fox (Swallow) Hollow offers a unique experience for all who visit. However, the conditions yesterday were less than ideal (greens were a little slow and bumpy), which was disappointing considering the price of admission. Pace of Play was 5.5 hours which was ridiculous but with Cheese calling the Clubhouse every 4 holes at least it wasn’t a 6-hour round.

Despite the imperfect conditions, the members of FAST tackled the course with enthusiasm and determination. The track, with its intricate bends and elevations, provided a true test of skill and endurance. The lush surroundings, normally a highlight, were somewhat marred by the adverse conditions, yet the inherent beauty of Fox (Swallow) Hollow still shined through.

While the outing may not have been perfect, as we only had 9 FAST competitors, the competition was intense. Through the first 9 holes DaJoker, Cheese, Shyam and GBT2 were in a neck-to-neck battle all within 2 strokes of each other. After nine holes DaJoker took a convincing lead over Cheese, however GBT2, Lambo and Shyam were lurking a couple strokes behind. After 11 DaJoker jumped to a two-stroke lead as Cheese started to leak a little oil and was tied with GBT2 for 3rd place. After 14, DaJoker maintained a 2-stroke lead over Cheese and the Commish made a move and jumped to 3rd place with GBT2 one stroke behind. At 15, DaJoker maintained a 1 stroke lead and Cheese moved back up to 2nd place by dropping an amazing par (20ft putt off of the green) on the hardest hole on the course. DaJoker parred 16 but double bogeyed 17 so Cheese and DaJoker went into 18 tied. DaJoker hit his tee shot into the trees and miraculously finds an 8-inch hole and does not hit a leaf. Cheese aka Ice Man lands on the green in 3 and makes another 20 ft putt to win his first Back-to-Back FAST tournament. This was a very exciting round and Cheese proved to have Ice in the veins and put on a putting clinic thanks to GBT2 who gave him a putting tip at the beginning of the round and Cheese executed it to perfection making only 29 putts all day (amazing) on these bumpy greens.

Final Placements:

1. Cheese 70 (-1)
2. Joker 71 (E)
3. Shyam 75 (+4)
4. Commish 76 (+5)
5. LamboNinja 77 (+6)

CTPs

Shyam, Calise, Arun and TL

Birds that held

DaJoker, Shyam, Cheese, and LamboNinja

Although the course was not perfect and we had a small turnout, the tournament was one of the most exciting back and forth battles to the end. It was also great having Shyam playing with us for the first time, who proved to be very competitive and will always be in the hunt. It was a great day of competition and fellowship, and I look forward to seeing you all at Huntington Hills next week. Can Cheese aka Ice Man go 3 for 3? This has never been done before in FAST. Stay tuned.

FAST CheeseField

"Cheese Claims Victory on the Fast Greens of Summerfield: A Day of Intense FAST Competition"

What a beautiful day to be out on the links at Summerfield. Summerfield had some of the fastest greens and some of the toughest pin placements I have ever seen there. We had a full field of 20 semi-amateur hackers in the field today. The competition was intense from the get-go. Krash, Cheese, TL, Teach, and GBT2 jumped to a very fast start and broke away from the pack after 6 holes. At the turn, it was a dogfight between Krash and Cheese, three strokes ahead of GBT2 in third place. At 12, Krash jumped back into the lead with Cheese, GBT2, and TL in hot pursuit. At 16, we had another tie between Krash and Cheese. TL and GBT2 started leaking oil at 13 and 14. Cheese went on to par 16, 17, and 18 to pull away from Krash to take the win at Summerfield. Cheese tied his personal best with an amazing score of 41/40 to take the win. Final scores are as follows:

1st – Cheese  - 63

2nd – TL and Krash  - 64

3rd – ScoringEagle  - 68

4th – GBT2   - 69

5th – Commish, DaProfessor, Rocketman   - 71

Rocketman #8

Dr. Dave #12

DaProfessor #15

Gauntlets went to Da Professor and Teach -10 points.

TL, Krash, ScoringEagle, GBT2, Dr. LastMinute, and Don Julio – 5 points.

Overall, it was another great day on the links, and the Summerfield greens were super-fast and true. ScoringEagle, TL, and Teach all shot sub-80 rounds, so congratulations to them for an excellent round as well. Shooting 70s on these fast greens is very impressive. Next week we will be at Fox (Swallow) Hollow. The course is a premium course and should also be in excellent shape. Hopefully, the pin placements will be a little friendlier. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

FASTERS Major at Falcon’s Fire

The FASTERS Tournament at Falcons Fire featured a small but highly talented field of players. The Falcons Fire course was in less than optimal condition; the greens were inconsistent and slow, with some being notably subpar. Cheese began the tournament with a strong start, closely followed by the Commish and SongBird after six holes. By the seventh hole, DaProfessor joined the leading group, maintaining an even score.

At the turn, Cheese held a three-stroke lead over SongBird and DaProfessor, while Fleetwood started to climb the leaderboard. By the 14th hole, SongBird had reduced the lead to one stroke, with DaJoker, Calise, and DaProfessor tied for third place. Cheese encountered difficulties on the 15th hole, allowing SongBird to tie at -1. SongBird then took the lead on the 16th hole as Cheese continued to struggle. On the 17th hole, Cheese made an impressive shot to tie the match, leading into the final hole.

At the 18th hole, SongBird's tee shot landed in the sand, while Cheese positioned himself in the middle of the fairway. SongBird managed to chip out of the sand, leaving him with a 167-yard third shot. He successfully hit his third shot onto the green, 20 feet from the flag, and made the downhill putt to secure the win. Cheese played an outstanding round, finishing in solo second place. The final placements were:

1st - SongBird

2nd - Cheese

3rd - Dr.LastMinute & DaJoker

4th - Calise and Fleetwood

5th - DaProfessor

SongBird claimed the entire pot of $100.00. Closest to the pin honors went to DaProfessor, Cheese, and Fleetwood.

Overall, it was an exciting FASTERS Major, with SongBird making remarkable shots on the 18th hole to achieve victory. Congratulations to SongBird and Cheese for their exceptional play. Additionally, DaCajun set a record by hitting eight consecutive sand traps, and DaCommish earned the Shitty Player trophy with consistent poor shots, resulting in a score of 95. DaCajun also won DaHammer with 36 putts, taking the title away from Fleetwood. We look forward to seeing everyone at Summerfield next week at 10 am. Until then, as DaBeast would say, "Get out and practice your chips and putts" if you wish to improve and avoid receiving the Shitty Player trophy.

FAST Team Game at Huntington Hills

FAST Q2/2025 Teams tournament started out with an unusually small field. After the team’s name drawing on Friday, it seems the Dream Team of DaBeast and ScoringEagle was the team to beat this weekend.

Unfortunately, DaBeast had to withdraw due to an injury, which left ScoringEagle very distraught; however, we were able to fill his spot at the last minute with a 12 HI player. We had 2 new players join the group this week, DaCajun and David L, and it was really fun to have them both. DaCajun fit in extremely well with the rest of us degenerates, lol. We had 3 groups of 12 players, or six teams, in the field this week. It was a very tight match the entire round – Team Boom/TL and Krash/Commish were going back and forth the entire front nine, exchanging the 1st place spot. On the back nine, Krash went on a 7 par tear to shoot a gross 39/Gross 32/NET to take the lead from Boom/TL, despite having to carry his teammate across the finish line with a broken back. Final results were as follows:

1st Team Krash/Commish

2nd Team BigSexy/DaCajun

3rd Team Boom/TL

4th Team Puff/Mullet

5th Team ScoringEagle/Newbie

CTPs went to MrMullet, TL X 2, and David L.

Only three Birds Held – 2X for Big Sexy and David L.

Overall, it was a great day on the links, and some excellent individual

scores were dropped:

BigSexy 80

DaCajun 80

TL 81

Krash 83

The Team Game adds a lot of challenges and is a little more involved to put together, but it's great fun once per quarter. Looking forward to seeing you all at Falcons Fire next weekend. That is an excellent track, and we hope to have a good turnout.

FAST 2025 Q1 Finale at Providence

The Quarter One 2025 Finale at Providence Golf Club turned out to be a nail biter from start to finish. With the introduction of the FAST Peter Piper Pecker Putter aka “DaHammer” added an entirely new fun dimension to the game. First, folks had to putt-out which increased the scores all around, and no one wanted to have to kiss the DaHammer except for probably Fleetwood lol. DaProfessor came to play and took the lead from the outset starting the round with 3 pars in a row setting his mark for the day. Through 8 DaProfessor, maintained his lead with TL, Dr. LastMinute, MrHybrid, SongBird all tied for 2nd and in hot pursuit. At the turn, DaProfessor maintained a 1 stroke advantage over Mr. Hybrid and SongBird at 4 under. After 12 holes GBT2 jumped into the mix with DaProfessor increasing his lead to 2 strokes. After 14, it was back to a 1 stroke lead over SongBird and a 4-way tie for 3rd place with TL, GBT2, MrHybrid and the Commish all 3 back of the leader. At the Gauntlet, DaProfessor found another gear and made NET par and Birdie to close out the round with a convincing lead and WIN the Providence Q1/25 Finale wire to wire.

Final placements:

1st Place Dallas -4 (68) 30 Points

2nd Place Jamie -3 (69) 26 Points

3rd Place Herbie E (72) 22 Points

4th Place Caleb, JD and Tuan +1 (73) 18 Points

5th Place Dr. Dave and George +2 (74) 14 Points

CTPs

#4 - Tuan

#8 - BoomBoom

#12 - Dallas

#17 - Myles

Overall, it was a very fun day on the links and with the introduction of the DaHammer, added a whole new dimension to the game, so we will try to do that at least once a month because you must putt-out to play for DaHammer.
This Q1/2025 was the closest Quarter in FAST history since 2017. It literally came down to how long it took to finish a round and Double the POT and Double the Points. Eight points versus 4 participation points that could also determine our Q1/2025 quarter winner. Unfortunately, DaBeast was on injured reserve and could not play in the final round which made it a very close points match for the Q1/2025 Quarter Championship. It came down to the Gauntlet and TL ran through the Gauntlet with 3 Net pars and a Bird to earn 10 extra points. Although he was not the Official Score keeper GBT2, Calise and BoomBoom could prove we finished the round in record pace as 4:13 minutes to earn 8 points for each player. So, in the end we have another FAST first, a TIE for 1st place in Q1 2025, so both DaBeast and TL will get their name on the Q1 2025 Quarter Championship trophy with 222 points- Congratulations to Both the DaBeast and TL.

FAST Valspar at Huntington Hills

The FAST Valspar at Huntington Hills turned out to be an incredibly exciting Semi-Final round! The greens were quite slippery, and the pin placements were definitely challenging. We started on time, and right from the get-go, Songbird took a strong lead, finishing -2 after six holes, while DaProfessor, Cheese, and B2Bomber were hot on his trail. After eight holes, DaProfessor fell back by two strokes, with TDog and DaBeast tying for second place as they joined the chase. After the turn, BigSexy made his move and climbed into first place as Songbird faced some tough moments with a couple of doubles. JD, also known as Fleetwood, joined the pursuit along with DaProfessor, who refused to give up. It all came down to the final holes: on 17, DaBeast secured a birdie, and Songbird and Fleetwood needed to birdie 18 to force a playoff. Unfortunately, the putts proved too difficult, and they couldn’t pull it off, allowing DaBeast to claim his 9th win on FAST and all but seal the Q1 2025 Quarter Championship next weekend.

Final placements:

1st Place DaBeast +1 (73)

2nd Place BigSexy, SongBird +2 (74)

3rd Place Cheese, JD aka Fleetwood and DaProfessor +3 (75)

4th Place B2Bomber and TDog +4 (76)

5th Place ScoringEagle +5 (77)

FAST Summerfield III

We had a great group out at Summerfield Crossing today. It’s been a long time coming but Dallas formerly known as Deathstar and now know as DaProfessor reeled in his very first victory in FAST. He was welcomed by all to a celebration as he entered the clubhouse. The course was in great shape and the greens were rolling true. So true that we had 4 guys that couldn’t get enough and went back out to play another 9 after. Dallas carded an 83 which is his personal best for Summerfield, followed by Tuan and BudLightBob for 2nd. Congrats Dallas and well played!

FAST Buffalo Creek II

Buffalo Creek did not disappoint; everyone came out to play. There was excitement in the air on first tee box. AAARon and Rocketman came out of the box very hot and took an early lead after 4 holes. After 6 we had a three-way tie for first, Rocketman, Beast and AAARon all tied for first. After 7 AAARon took the solo lead with Rocketman, Beast and B2 in the hunt. This continued through 10 until Rocketman regained the lead with AAARon, Beast and B2 in close pursuit. After 12 DeathStar came from way back to tie the lead with AAARon and the Beast. Rocketman and B2 slipped leaving DaBeast and AAARon fighting  for the top spot. They battled back and forth through 13 and on 15 DaBeast had enough and  dropped a bird on 16  and two pars on 17 and 18 to close out the match after an intense battle at the DaBuffalo. DaBeast shot -3 (69 Gross) to take the WIN – Final placements are as follow:

1) DaBeast -5 (67)

2) AAARon -4 (68)

3) B2Bomber -3 (69)

4) Cheese & DeathStar E (72)

5) Commis +1 (73)

CTPs went to Beast on #3 & #16, AAAron #8, MrHybrid #13

Birds were _ Beast # 1, 12, 15 & 16; AAARon #4 & 18, B2 #5, LamboNinja #14

The competition at the Buffalo was intense and we have three new inductees into the Buffalo Soldiers Group- DaBeast 67, AAARon 68 and B2Bomber 69 ( DaDream Team). Great round of competition today fellas and the players with the fewest mistakes WON so well played Beast. AAARon, B2, Rocketman, JD, I remember the days we used to root for Cheese to get a WIN, now we root for you guys to hold the Strap one day. Just eliminate the bogies and doubles and you will get on the Champions Wall one day- Don’t Give UP the Fight, it will happen – Ask Cheese – You are so Close. See you all next week at Summerfield.

FAST Diamond Hill

What an amazing Day at with the FAST Record-Breaking Round at the Hill today. Even though I was not present, I was watching the live leaderboard as I worked and did some family duties. The leader board was riveting as the top five folks on the leader-board  changed every two holes. At first glance, I saw Cheese in the lead after 8 with Calise and Krash in hot pursuit, MrHybrid, BoomBoom and Silky Smooth were all tied for 4th place. After 10, I took another look and Calise jumped to #1 with Cheese, BoomBoom and Mr Hybrid coming hard. After 12 Cheese jumped back into the lead with MrHybrid, Calise and GTB2 now in the mix. At this point I am saying this is getting interesting. At 14 it was Cheese chased by Calise, MrHybrid, BoomBoom and now here comes the Beast in the mix. It’s getting really interesting to me now – Can Cheese hold on? At 15 Cheese holding on with BoomBoom, DaBest and Calise all tied for 2nd place. Mr hybrid, Krash and BudLiteBob move into 5th place. At 16, Cheese is still holding on, but Beast moves into solo 2nd place with MrHybrid, BoomBoom and Calise tied for 3rd place- it’s getting really interesting about now. Then suddenly, I looked, BoomBoom pars 18 with a net Eagle, Cheese also pars 18 and get a Net Bird and we have a tie and another Playoff in FAST. BoomBoom and Cheese have their first playoff and BoomBoom gets his first Ever FAST Victory and unfortunately, I was not there with the Belt, but it was a WIN a long time in the making, and we are all very Happy for BoomBoom.

Final Placements:

1st – BoomBoom- 68

2nd – Cheese- 68

3rd- MrHybrid-69

4th- GBT2, DaBeast -70

5th- TL- 71

CTPs  to follow; but looks like Mario aka Scoring Eagle got at least 2 of the four CTPSs.

2025 Q1 Margarita Major

The first ever FAST Margarita Major was a huge success. We had 24 Semi Pro hackers in the field playing to wear the Paid Championship Jacket and to raise the Major Cup. Silky Smooth started out hot from the beginning with JD, TL and AAAron in hot pursuit. JD dropped an Eagle on hole #3 to tie for first place with Silky after hole #3. On hole #4 Silky Hit the flag and almost got a Hole In One leaving the ball inches from the hole for a tap in Bird. Through hole # 7 Krash, TL and Mario jumped into the mix. After hole #14 Silky, Cheese, AAAron and the King were in the hunt but Silky would not give up the lead easily and fended off the charge to par hole #18 after a terrible tee shot to Win the first ever Margarita Major. Final placements were as follows:

1st – Silky Smooth 65

2nd – Cheese and AAARon 71

3rd- King Rozzi72

4th- JD 73 (Eagle) 73

5th- Big Sexy 74

CTPs went to Silky, DaJoker, AAARon and SongBird

We also have a tie on the CTP Challenge with DaJoker and ScoringEagle tied for 5 CTPs this quarter. Overall, the competition was intense and Silky played one of his best games in a long time. Cheese and AAARon put up a good fight. The King made a move dropping 3 Birds but was not enough to Catch Silky Smooth. Well done today fellas and I look forward to seeing you all at Diamond Hill (week 9) for another great week of FAST Competition.

FAST Cypress Creek

FAST Cypress Creek challenge today was off to a shaky start, Da Commish had DaBeast chasing a range finder at the last minute and Da Beast ended up missing his warm-up routine. He is such a scholar and a Gentleman. Also, at the last minute we had some player substitutions with Calise dropping at the last minute to be filled by ScoringEagle at the very last minute. Due to Chaos at 10am we had to switch up teams because folks were warming up and the Starter was on our butts to get off the tee. Thanks to FAST Rule #1, for the first time at Cyress the Starter was not yelling at us and we all got off the tee fairly easily.

Rocketman jumped out with a hot lead on the front 9 with ScoringEagle and B2Bomber in HOT pursuit. BoomBomm and Cheese were not far behind as we approached hole #7. At the Turn B2Bomber made his move and took the lead with TL, DiamondDog and ScoringEagle in hot pursuit .  At Hole #15 B2Bomber started to leak some oil and ScoringEagle jumped to the front with RocketMan in hot pursuit as well. Da Beast made a hot push on 16,17 & 18 scoring an Eagle on 18 to jump up to 4th place behind RocketMan, TL. ScoringEagle was able to hold on to take the WIN as the first substitute Winner today; Final results are as follows:

1) ScoringEagle +1 (73)

2) TL +2 (74)

3) DaBeast +3 (75)

4) Commish & Rocketman  +4 (76)

5) PuffPuff , DiamondDog, B2Bomber +7 (79)

CTP went to

# 6 ScoringEagle, # 8 DaBeast, #13 CheeseHead, #17 PuffPuff

We had 1 Bird (ScoringEagle) and 1 EAGLE TODAY when to DaBeast on #18 – with a tap in EAGLE

Overall, it was a beautiful day, and the course played extremely difficult today. Putts did not want to drop today, probably because the greens were a little bumpy or because we all sucked at putting today. Next week is our first scheduled MAJOR at Club Renaissance, however, we must have 20 folks sign up for it to be classified as our first ever FAST Margarita MAJOR in honor of National Margarita Day. See you all next week and Congratulations again to the first last minute substitute to WIN a fast tournament.

FAST Huntington Hills

Huntington Hills turned out to be another exciting and eventful FAST Waste Management outing. An executive decision was made on the 1st tee to play White and Blue tees, turned out to be a good decision resulting in 19 Birds and a Hole- In-One. It might have made the course too easy, but a lot a fun, so next time we may have to the more difficult tees to see how we do, compared to the forward tee. With Chu getting his HIO on hole #4, the shots began flowing, so after that, Group One was Out lol. The competition started to heat up as Songbird, DaBeast, TL, Bonez, Dr. D were fighting it out on the back nine- It came down to hole 18 where Songbird and DaBeast ended tied up -3 (69). No one wants to be in a playoff with DaBeast because he has ice in the veins and sure enough Songbird fell short to DaBeast who takes his first Win of 2025. Results are as follows:

1) DaBeast (69)

2) Songbird (69)

3) TL (70)

4) Bonez (71)

5) Dr. D

CTP – All when to Chu with a Hole-In-One on Hole #4- hitting a new 7 iron for the very first time.

Because of the HIO, CTPs did not count in the Gauntlet- No one got both Gauntlets so 5 points on the Gauntlets went to – Songbird, DaBeast, TL, Bonez, Dr. D and ScoringEagle

Plenty of birds were dropped:

Beast 6, Bonez 3, Songbird 3, ScoringEagle 1, Cheese 1, GBT2 3, BoomBoom 1, for a Total of 20 which is a new FAST record.

FAST 2025 is proving to be a fantastic year for FAST, records are being made every week and we are having more sudden death playoffs which make each round very exciting and fun. We will be back to Huntington Hills to play the back tees to see how we do from 6200 and 6700. Well played fellas and looking forward to seeing you all at Cypress Creek next week, to see if any more records can be broken at the Creek.

Fast Summerfield II

Fast Q1, week five (5) turned out to be one of the best golf days we have had all year- overcast sky’s, perfect 70 degree temperatures and a full field of 20 Semi-Pro Hackers. Cheese came out to play and started his highlighted round by hitting the flag on hole 1 on his second shot but settled for a par on hole #1. Cheese had his own highlighted game on the front nine and maintained his lead through the first nine holes. Storming, Teach and TL were lurking 3 strokes back at the turn. Through 13 Cheese was at -5 and TL was still 3 back. Cheese started leaking oil on 15 and TL put his shot 18” from the flag for a Bird to tie the score going into 15,16,17 & 18.  It came down to 18th and TL and Cheese both ended up with 69 which lead to a sudden death play off on hole # 10 – Both Cheese and TL had fantastic drives down the middle – Cheese hit his second shot right on the green and TL got his GIR with a 20’ putt. Cheese chipped pass the flag pin high 10 Feet pass. TL lagged his put up to 4 ft and tapped in for Par to take his first W in a long time and a record winning pot of $140. TL got 1st place, CTPs and Birdie POTs. Final placements are as follows:

1) TL - 69

2) Cheese- 69

3) Teach – 71

4) Big Sexy - -72

5) Canada

CTPs went to Big Sexy #2, Beast, #8, Jamie # 12 and TL #15

Birds that Held – TL # 6 and #15 – Big Sexy and Calise cut each other on #14.

Overall, it was a wonderful day on the links and surprisingly the course played more difficult than expected. The Big hitters on the Gross side played well with Beast and Canada shooting a 77 for a Gross tie, Teach shot a 78 which was amazing for not playing n a while. The King had a cool 81. Well, done to TL for bringing his “A” game today and winning a record $140 pot. Also, A big shout out to DeathStar for coming out and running the POT and doing the heckling for 18 holes. See you all next week at Huntington Hills in Lakeland for 11:30 tee time. Range balls will be included and because the green on #1 is tourn up, everyone gets a 2 putt after hitting onto the green. See you all next week.

FAST Big Cypress

After a contentious start to the morning with the clubhouse staff over stupid names for the gate, the day turned out perfect for a round of golf. JD was correct, the course proved to be incredibly challenging, and the greens were true however superfast, and the pin placements were extremely difficult. Many 3 and 4 putts were dropped yesterday which led to approximately eight lead changes over the course of the round. After the first nine holes Calise, Mr Hybrid and Cheese were in strong contention. After 11 Danny Canada made his move. After 14 Cheese and Scoring Eagle jumped to the top of the leaderboard. After 15 Krash jumped into the mix with Calise, Cheese and the Beast all within a stroke. At 16 the Beast and Krash were in a battle with Calise and Cheese at +2 with two holes to go. It came down to the 18th hole and the round had to go to a sudden death playoff between Krash and DaBeast on hole #10. The first playoff hole ended with a tie they went to hole eleven where Krash pulled out and unexpected W over DaBeast with a Net Par. Both players are recovering from Neck and Back injuries to dominate an extremely competitive field so well done to them- Krash must have visited Dr. D to be able to pull out this W lol.

Final rankings are as follows:

1) Krash 72

2) DaBeast 72

3) Calise 74

4) GBT2 75

5) Cheese 76

CTPs when to:

#5 Mario, #8 George, #13 Danny, #15 George- George is trying to catch ScoringEagle in the CTP race for the quarter.

Birds that stood when to – Calise #3, #7 and DaBeast #16

Overall Q1/W4 proved to be an overly exciting but challenging round- the competition was intense however, Krash called it last week and said he was going to be back on top and now he is. Well, done Krash even with your bad back. Next week we are back to Summerfield at 10:00 am where the course  and greens are in excellent shape for another fun round. LFG

FAST at the Buffalo

Q1 Week 2, 2025 at the Buffalo did not turn out like we expected. We all showed up at the course this morning thinking this is 2025 and we were going to take down the Buffalo with at least 4 sub 80s rounds but the Buffalo was having none of that. The course kicked our asses back to Tampa except for Bonez who man-handled the Buffalo by shooting a 75 to become a member of the Buffalo Soldiers. What a day and what a Game. It was tight all day and at one point we had a 3-way tie for first place between TL, SongBird and Dr. D going into 13, Herbie and Bonez were also in the hunt just one stroke back. SongBird started leaking oil on 16, 17 & 18 and TL left tire started to going flat on 15 with a double. Herbie finished strong with a 39 on the back to tie Dr. D which led to a sudden death playoff on hole #1 and Dr. D nailed his par vs Herbie +2 to take his first Win since his shoulder injury 6 months ago. Dr. D is back Bitches, watch out.

Placements:

1) Dr. D -3

2) Mr Hybrid -3

3) TL -3

5) Bonez E

CTPs went to

TL #3, ScoringEagle #8 & #13 and SongBird #16

Birds Skins went to:

Everyone had a fantastic time however we will have a rematch with Da Buffalo to get our revenge in Q1. Next week will be another Sunday match at the Cypress Creek at 11:00 am – See you all there.

FAST Summerfield Team Game

The first Team Random Draw Game of 2025 turned out to be an amazing Day on the Links. We had our first Teams Meeting Random Draw from the Bar at Outback which had a few hitches however, it turned out to be a smart move and a lot of fun. The morning was a bit nippily however it turned out to be a beautiful day. Team “CommisStar” (Commish & DeathStar) predicted after the random draw they were the team to beat and ScoringEagle also called it Friday night.  Team CommisStar showed up with matching colors and matching hats and came to play. DeathStar won both the individual game and team game by shooting a NET 70 and Commish shooting a NET 71.

The team games are fun but take more prep time so we will have 1 at the beginning of every quarter (4 times per year). Next week will be back at Buffalo Creek on SUNDAY Jan 12th for $50. Looking forward to seeing you all next week Sunday at the Buffalo.
